We had another great teleseminar this week.  Chef Varouj Kachichian was a fabulous guest!  I love how he uses food as ‘medicine,’ finding the foods that best support you AND having creative cooking solutions to make your meals de-lish.  (in fact, he offered a free cookbook to our listeners!)  If you haven’t signed up for the calls, all of these are recorded and will be available for a few more weeks. And, now…we’re gearing up for next week’s call, which I think is going to be

very interesting.

I’ve invited two men to have a conversation with me about THEIR observations and perceptions of women, the relationship women have with their bodies…and what really matters to men.  If you have a particular question you would like me to ask, email me at:  wendy@wendydarling.com.  I think this is going to be a unique and interesting conversation.

What I have loved about this series is how we can literally do simple things to take better care of ourselves.  There are so many different ways we can show love and appreciation to our bodies.  For example, taking a break during your work day and going outside for a 5 minute walk is an act of love.

A simple act of choosing a food and eating it with the FEELING of love can make all the difference in the world.  Even on those occasions when you have that special ‘treat,’ always consciously enjoy and appreciate the moment.  It makes such a difference in how your body receives and processes your food.

And, of course, as you are making your choices, ask yourself the question:  How can I best support my body?  When I ask myself this, I am delighted at the choices I make.
I no longer want processed foods.  I truly eat much lighter and healthier.  I literally crave broccoli or spinach.  Who knew that was possible? (don’t get me wrong, I still consider a little dark chocolate as one of the required and simple pleasures of life!)

I recently had to be out of town participating in CEO Space, eating hotel food during the week.  I did take my mini blender to at least make a make-shift protein drink in the morning, but since I was unable to cart all the veggies and other ingredients with me, I really missed my typical morning drink.  And, again, it’s pretty amazing how happy and nourished I felt making my morning smoothie after I returned.  It felt like my cells were so much happier again (and they probably were!)

And, one last point:  Make sure you HYDRATE yourself!  This is one of my personal challenges.  It’s very easy for me to forget to drink water.  And just drinking water can make a huge difference in your health, your weight….and your overall well-being.

So…drink up….and maybe choose one of Varouj’s recipe’s to mix up your menu!  Variety truly is the spice of life!

Have a great week…and hope to see you on our call next week!
