HAS THE WIND GONE OUT OF YOUR SAILS?

I don’t know about you, but for some reason I’ve been a bit tired lately.  I had SO much energy at the beginning of the year, thoroughly enjoying all the activity 2015 has brought…and then suddenly, it seemed liked my energy just dropped.

Now, for many of you, winter weather is more than likely beginning to mess with you.  And for some, this can be challenging.  Of course, those of you in the northeast have been more than challenged with record breaking snowfalls.sail

And, we all just had the opportunity to celebrate with loved ones, family and friends Valentine’s Day.  But holidays can also take a toll on your energy, whether you are in a relationship or not.

As I get older, I certainly appreciate the ebbs and tides of energy.  I also have grown to appreciate the different kinds of nourishment we need to support us.

One of the facets I always explore is how you may be overcompensating in one or more areas of your life (health, home, relationships, career, finances, family, friends).  I know it’s impossible to be ‘balanced’ all the time, but I have found that if you are lacking nourishment and support in one of your key areas, with time, it takes a toll.

For example, if your career has been requiring much of your time, it may have been challenging to have time to take better care of yourself.  Or it may also mean that you are not spending as much time with family and/or friends.  OR it may mean that you just haven’t taken time out to relax and have FUN!

And, quite honestly, when I’m working with my clients, it seems that when their life gets imbalanced, one of the missing ingredients is putting some form of fun and creativity back into their life.

Just yesterday, I was speaking with a client who has felt the winter doldrums.  When we looked into this further, she wants to have more fun with her husband.  And, when we dug just a little further, she was a bit bored, and needs to spark her creativity juices and get them flowing again.  THEN we were able to speak about what fun might look like for her…and then created ideas to explore with her husband. (she was also having challenges with her business and health goals, but this was a key part in turning things around).

So, are you in need of shaking things up a bit?  Is it time to turn the music on and dance around the house?  Or bundle up and take a walk in the freezing cold?  Or maybe get in your car and take a day to explore?  Whatever you may need to get your juices going again…do it!  It doesn’t have to be much…but it does have to be enough to make you feel more energetic and alive.

So if you find yourself ‘drooping’ a bit….simply find a way to break your routine…and SHAKE THINGS UP!!

Enjoy!
